!image0011Confetti stars,

and the moons of Mars,

glitter in the sky.

My lover’s tears,

weeps a million years,

silently each night.

To you I fly,

through rainbow skies,

riding clouds of unicorn white.

My broken heart,

as my love departs,

Helios has taken flight.

Rhythm, a sequence in time repeated, featured ...

The haunting song,

in a melody,

reminders of you,

in a memory.

Dance the last waltz,

and sing Auld Lang Syne,

our time it was over,

heartbreak be mine.

You danced with another,

I sang a duet,

do you still remember,

the day when we met?

English: It's a topsy turvy world On Frampton ...

Everything feels so wrong,

nothing’s quite the same,

everything’s so different,

but no one is to blame.

It’s how it’s meant to be,

but all the same it’s wrong,

it’s just a different tune,

and a slightly different song.

I don’t like the way it is,

but there’s nothing I can do,

I’ll have to stick it out,

until we see it through.

Tax Bill

When debts come in the letterbox,

then love flies out for sure,

the better becomes the worse,

at the scourge of being poor.

The heart beats with a sickness,

at the signs you can’t ignore;

the stress and strain is showing,

as we begin to talk no more.

We’re hoping for the better,

for the richer, and for wealth,

don’t hold your breath whilst waiting,

it’s not good for your health!

These walls imbued,

with poet’s mood,

whilst words refrain,

deflecting pain;

the primal scream,

relives the dream,

of love once scorned,

this life sojourned.

the stockings were hung by the...tv stand

I see an old lady,

and I think of you –

enjoying her garden,

as so should you

Tinsel and fairy lights,

I really miss you;

coloured stockings hang,

each a memory from you.

Then comes the summer,

and I mourn for you,

for all the lost days,

and the things we can’t do.

When I hear a joke,

I want to tell you,

to laugh like two schoolgirls,

‘til tears wet cheeks through.

Each birthday ticks by,

I wait for your card,

I know it won’t come,

but it still hits me hard.

When I see an old lady,

it seems so unfair,

‘cause you’ll never grow old,

no stick, no grey hair.

When I see an old lady,

with daughter at side,

I think to myself,

That should be I…

I hang on your words,

like a condemned man,

waiting, waiting, waiting;

the hour glass ticking,

moods pensive and tense.

To and fro, fro and to…

Cadaver pendulum swinging,

this way and that,

that way and this…

Tides ebb and flow,

moons wax and wane,

days come, weeks go.

Still waiting, waiting…

ever waiting, for

just one word,

from,

you.

English: A panoramic view of Howth harbour.

I never went to Dublin,

or strolled along the shore.

I never walked on Grafton Street,

or wore the pearls you swore.

I never came to visit you,

and relive bygone days;

to welcome ghosts that haunted me,

or weep upon your grave.
