Alexandra Carr-Malcolm, Cadaver, condemned, heartbreak, longing, loss, love, poetry, waiting
I hang on your words,
like a condemned man,
waiting, waiting, waiting;
the hour glass ticking,
moods pensive and tense.
To and fro, fro and to…
Cadaver pendulum swinging,
this way and that,
that way and this…
Tides ebb and flow,
moons wax and wane,
days come, weeks go.
Still waiting, waiting…
ever waiting, for
just one word,
from,
you.

This I understand very well. Lovely words for those MIA. Xo
Thank you very much.

Alex ~ you have surpassed yourself ~ this is interesting and passionate ~ good read ~ ace write
Oh thank you Polly 🙂
I think my writing tendency errs on the side of dark and gothic, when it’s at its best!
😀
Dramatic words, Alex!
The condemnation of broken promises and the agony of waiting,
you have painstakingly expressed by this remarkable piece.
Keep writing…
Thank you – inspired partly by a seven and a half year legal process
If waiting and being patient was in the olympics, I reckon I must be due for a gold by now!
And yes, you deserve more than a gold medal…
🙂
A painful wait.
Indeed!
🙂
