Moon, Venus and Jupiter

Oh, Brother Moon,
where are you?
cry Sister stars,
for it is dark,
and we a’fear,
the silence clear,
please light the way,
so we can play,
in night’s a new,
and lead a merry
dance we will!
For you can still,
our beating stars,
with words afar
outstripping ours.
Without your beam,
your words unseen,
your moon not full,
this night grows dull…

I’m in a dilemma –

Oh what should I do?

Why is it just me,

that this happens to?

I’m in my posh frock,

peng from head to my toes.

There is just one problem,

the spot on my nose!

It glows like a beacon,

landing the planes,

I really can’t squeeze it,

‘cos I can’t bear the pain!

There’s only one option –

one thing I can do,

hide under my duvet,

and eat a chocolate or two!

Did I tell you…

I’m dying to meet you,

I have to say,

I’m dying to meet you,

in every way.

Put on the kettle,

I’m coming home,

and it will feel,

like you’ve never been gone.

Tell my Grandma,

to wear her best smile,

and tell my Grandad,

to stoke up the fire.

I’m dying to meet you,

I have to say,

tell Mum to collect me,

I’m on my way…

Did I spy a secret,

in the corner of your eye?

If you were to tell me,

would it make me cry?

Do you think it’s worth it,

to keep up this charade?

Life is complicated,

why make it so hard?

Would it not be better,

to go our separate ways?

To accept that it’s all over,

and fight another day.

Cock-a-Snoot

You rang m'lord

You rush on by,

in your pinstripe suit;

look down on me,

nose, cock-a-snoot.

Do you know,

who I really am?

I am richer,

than any man.

You may have millions,

stashed away,

some off-shore bank,

for a rainy day.

But take a look,

closely examine,

open up you heart,

what lies within?

I may not have money,

to match your wealth,

but I do have love,

and that’s something else!

For all your riches,

stocks and shares,

I live my life,

with no worries, or cares.

I cry to the universe –

You decide!

Should I live,

or should I die?

It gives me an answer,

I can’t ignore;

so I pick up my pen,

and write some more.

With this decision,

comes peace and oneness,

acceptance of life,

which hurts none the less.

The die is cast,

but with that said,

I patiently wait,

for the day of the dead.
