You rush on by,
in your pinstripe suit;
look down on me,
nose, cock-a-snoot.
Do you know,
who I really am?
I am richer,
than any man.
You may have millions,
stashed away,
some off-shore bank,
for a rainy day.
But take a look,
closely examine,
open up you heart,
what lies within?
I may not have money,
to match your wealth,
but I do have love,
and thatβs something else!
For all your riches,
stocks and shares,
I live my life,
with no worries, or cares.

Bravo! Well said.
Haha – amazing how a dirty look can inspire a poem! π
Ha ha! Love it Go Alex! π
Thank you π
I always love that some of the snootiest looks come from showgirls making less than half of my income.
Ah – the arrogance of youth π
Nice piece. I really like it.
Thank you Resa π
Love it! I do not like cock-a-snoots of any kind. π
Haha – well – I think they are the one’s who are missing out!
Yep, they certainly are missing things. π
heh-heh, we call it ‘cock-a-snook’, expresses ones feelings perfectly π
Yes I was toying with using that expression too! π
Cock-a-snoot, I love it. What a great expression and an interesting photo to match. Thanks. I enjoyed it.
Aw thank you very much – I’m glad my poem entertained π
and that’s worth something too, a lot even! π
Thank you π
I think so too!
