Veiled in anonymity,
hidden from the world to see,
living out my life I’m never known.
Feeling that I don’t belong;
you all sing a different song,
quietly I slip on by unseen.
As the moon its teardrops cry,
each a star lights up the sky,
as it hears my heartbreak every night.
One day though I will belong,
you will hear my siren’s song,
ring throughout the universe unbound.
Until then I’m here to stay,
writing with my words I play,
poets sybarite will haunt my heart.

I have learnt in life that it’s best to belong to your own song that’s where you are home…it is the ultimate 🙂
Very well written & moving poem!
Thank you very much indeed – maybe we sing in the same choir 🙂
‘ One day you will hear my siren’s song’ beautiful.. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
beautifully written =^.^=
Thank you 🙂
I too think it is the cat’s whiskers 😀
Ahh, sad, mournful, yet with hope.
Always hope 🙂
I love the song your words sing from heart
some hear between the notes…and understand…
I really like this….speaks softly but with clarity to me
Take Care…..You Matter….

This poem sound a little depress, lonely yet comfortable in confidence. Nice work.
