My idea of paradise,
when I don’t set,
my clock at night;
and in my bed,
in peaceful slumber,
where dreams of you,
my woes outnumbered.
The duvet clings,
as lover’s arms;
the pillow talks,
with all its charm.
Nought shall wake,
this blissful state,
as no alarm,
can make me late.

Its beautiful.. loved it 🙂
Thank you! I’m longing for Friday morning when I can try out my poem for real – no alarm clock – Yay!! 🙂
Very nice! (I hate waking to an alarm clock, too) 🙂
Even harder to do when the mornings are dark 😦
Great musing, Alex.
I find this interestingly familiar; we are on the same boat.
😉
Lol!
😀
I remember the days when I was happy I didn’t have to turn on the alarm clock. That I could sleep and dream the sweet dreams. Enjoyed your witty words.
Thank you! It’s a rare treat when I am not ruled by my alarm clock!
🙂
