The moon and I,
we are like that –
She said…
crossing her fingers,
behind her back.
The sun and I,
I cannot lie…
We crossed our paths
behind a cloud,
his face does hide.
The world and I,
we are as one,
soul mates and lovers,
a trilogy –
with the moon and sun.

Alex …wow you have written another gracious piece of work , I need to study other styles of poetry . Thanks for the awesome post …Tim ps the last four lines are pure beauty for me …:)
Gracious – ))blushes((
Thank you!!
I don’t think of my poems as anything fancy – I like simplicity and accessibility – the style that comes easiest to me, and I think allows me flexibility is a simple ABCB style.
Sometimes really heavy, wordy poetry I find hard going and have to be in the right conditions to write or read!
🙂

Great imagery, Alex…
Your poem reminds me of some lines I wrote
about the “romantic moon”:
“a lovers’ moon, they say,
as thru ages, thru sages,
its lunar legacy
is bequeathed fantasy.”
😉
Thank you –
Ahh what beautiful lines – Lunar legacy… ))smiling((
I have a bit of a thing about the moon – don’t tell him or the sun gets jealous!! 😀
Let’s keep it our secret.
😉
You amaze me again. When i read it, the first thing that crossed my mind was: “This woman is a genius!”.
Oh – gosh – I wouldn’t go that far 😉
Though if you’d like to award me a certificate – I would proudly display it on my wall and point to it every time my teenagers tell me otherwise!!
Thank you very much indeed for your very generous comment – I’m 00blushing(( and very humbled!
Alex 🙂
Haha just send your teens to me, ill reveal the truth to them 😉
Lool no bad in blushing in front of the monitor but know it was a sincere compliment.
