Motorway driving

lights whip by

wipers wiping

mists spray high

Visibility low

concentration high

cheek by jowl

lorries flash by

Black night darkness

heavy in heart

low visibility

from the start

Cat’s eyes visionary

unnoticed by day

celestial markers

guiding the way

Motorway driving

a challenging night

homeward I’m bound

destination in sight
