I’ve seen your face,
a thousand times,
it’s like the setting sun.
I’ve called your name,
have you called mine?
I rise and you are gone.
We are so different,
you and I,
you’re up when I am down.
You call, I run,
but where are you,
when I need a friend around?
You are the sun,
cowardly cold,
remote, aloof, and chilling.
You’ve hid in shadows,
all of my life,
acknowledgement unwilling.
I am the moon,
with passions bright,
your fire sears scars anew.
You wax and wane,
and spin my world,
‘til I don’t know what to do.
I’ve seen your face,
a thousand times,
you’re fire and I am ice.
You’ve broke my heart,
so many times –
Let go – I’ve paid the price.

English: The Sun directly opposite to the moon as seen on 10 Sep 2011 (One day before the full moon day). Place: Mount St Helens, WA USA. This exemplifies that on a full moon day the earth is between the Sun and the Moon. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
