Polski: Rycerze Okrągłego Stołu i święty Graal...

The greatest love story,

never told,

needn’t be,

the ones of old.

Living in lands,

cloaked with dreams,

where archetypes rule,

and tears become streams.

When day becomes night,

and Knights rule of old,

where the greatest love stories,

are never told.

Pick up a pen,

and brandish your sword,

battle your daemons,

and pen your words,

look to your heart,

for stories held close,

let the midnight ink glisten –

stars dancing with ghosts.

May rainbows arc brightly

and clouds cloak bad dreams,

shooting stars sparkle,

and waltz with moonbeams.

Alexandra Carr-Malcolm, hangover, humour, one too many, poetry, sherry, the morning after

A teacup on a saucer.

My pillow is lumpy,

my bed is a mess,

I cannot sleep,

at my own behest.

One sherry too many,

the room spins around,

I want to get off now,

and worship the ground!

The sheets are all clammy,

the air is so close,

as I wriggle and squiggle,

with cramp in my toes.

As I take a deep breath,

just one course I can see,

to admit my defeat,

and make a strong pot of tea!

The Carved Wooden Train

Trem de madeira - HDR

In the attic corner,

long forgotten, hidden,

cardboard box calling

secrets forbidden?

A blue teddy rattle,

and a carved wooden train,

toys of a bygone,

buried like pain.

You said they were mine,

then you threw them away,

history hiding,

a game that you’d play.

I ponder that day,

reminiscing the past,

of the train and the rattle,

who played with them last?

Karma Milano,

scrawled on a wall,

graffitied in letters,

four foot tall.

3:15 throwies,

an homage on bricks,

tag line, street culture,

for Sheffield six.

Rastafari!

Lovingly sprayed,

on the wall of a tunnel,

devotion displayed.

Gouranga, nostalgia,

for he who dares,

high on a bridge,

black on white squares.

Station slam wildstyles,

pigmented praise,

beatification,

now,  let us spray.

A spot of heaven,

anarchic art,

a ghost of a shadow,

let us depart.

I wear a pashmina of pain,

and my grief as a gown,

sorrow bedecks,

a thorned crown.

I haunt this world,

and always will,

until this beating,

heart is stilled.

My soul touches earth,

as I walk on this path,

my visible breath,

‘til I inhale my last.

Don’t bother me so,

with worrisome woes,

don’t ask my name,

as nobody knows.

558978_376214779138008_466651278_nOh how exciting!

This is the book in which two of my poems are being published! I feel, ‘proper’, famous!

The details are below, should you wish to purchase the very reasonably priced book! I have been privileged to have a sneak preview and it is a little bit fabulous, with some amazingly talented writers!

The following are details from Dagda Publishing

Well, we are very happy to announce that the print edition of our anthology of new and contemporary poetry “The Road Less Travelled” is now available for purchase through the Lulu.com bookstore: Link here!

The print version costs £3.50 (or local currency equivalent), a very reasonable price for a collection of 38 of the finest poems by contemporary writers about today, and takes 3-5 days to ship (okay, so we miss out on Christmas, but hey – late Christmas present, people).

One last thing. If you do get a copy, please take 10 minutes of your time to bung us back a review on the site you got it from. Cheers!

For Kindle versions the link is,

and the moons of Mars,

glitter in the sky.

My lover’s tears,

weeps a million years,

silently each night.

To you I fly,

through rainbow skies,

riding clouds of unicorn white.

My broken heart,

as my love departs,

Helios has taken flight.

The haunting song,

in a melody,

reminders of you,

in a memory.

Dance the last waltz,

and sing Auld Lang Syne,

our time it was over,

heartbreak be mine.

You danced with another,

I sang a duet,

do you still remember,

the day when we met?

Temporary Twins

What if…

I’m living the wrong life,

I’m not her,

and she’s not me.

I wanted a change,

to be free of the dreams,

I asked her to go,

but now it seems,

it was I that left,

and she’s left behind,

the dreams didn’t stop,

they’re here in her mind.

I made a mistake,

and I want her back,

without me here,

there’s a definite lack,

life is different,

in every way,

I silently wish,

she’d come and stay.

He loves her,

her quirks amuse him,

if she is happy,

he is happy.

She loves him,

his idiosyncrasies endear,

if he is happy,

she is happy.

He knows physically,

he is King;

she knows mentally,

she is Queen.

Until,

one day…

just beyond,

the happy ever after…

Verbal daggers,

literal daggers,

it’s all the same,

what’s in a name?
