I would like to say a heartfelt, big, thank you to Dagda Publishing for choosing one of my poems for their upcoming anthology to be titled,
‘The Road Less Travelled’
Please take a moment to check out their website,
They feature many fantastic poets, both new and established, with details of available publications from Dagda Publishing, such as Concrete Jungles
I can thoroughly recommend Concrete Jungles, as I have a copy on my Kindle! (Click on the link above to buy a copy for your Kindle!)
It is brilliant value for money, (a mere 77p!) and contains such gems as, ‘Ken Dodd’s Dad’s Dog’s Dead.’ With featured poems such as this, it is worth the 77p just for the sheer genius of the title of this poem alone!
Concrete Jungle contains many other fantastic writers and poetry, which will inspire and entertain. It will also give you something to read whilst waiting for the new anthology 🙂 – The Road Less Travelled.
Dagda also welcome writers to send in their work for consideration, why not give it a go? You have nothing to lose! You can find out how to do this on their website.
You can also find them here at Facebook…

Please do check them out and support them by clicking the like button! They are working hard to give opportunities to many writers. They are very likeable people!
I am so excited and thrilled to have had a poem chosen for the new book – did I mention the title of the new book?
The Road Less Travelled
This will be my first published poem and hopefully the start of many more to come! I would also like to thank the many good folk who take time to visit my page and who take time to read, click, ‘like’, or leave me a comment. Thanks guys and gals – you all work as a catalyst to inspire and encourage me onwards. Thank you so much!
I will leave you with my favourite quote of the moment –
‘She is not a writer at all, really; she is merely a gifted eccentric.’ (The Hours by Michael Cunningham)

Thank you Wendy! It is my first ‘success’. It is always a nail biting experience sending in one’s work and hoping that other people appreciate it enough to want to use it!

))still floating on cloud 9((
There doesn’t weem to be much going on on the poetry front in Sheffield 😦
I think they are all hiding behind the settee somewhere!!!
Such a lovely feeling … really pleased for you 🙂
Now then, if there’s nothing going on in Sheffield there’s an opportunity for you to make something go on … set up your own poetry group / workshops, hold a reading event, anything to get the blighters out from behind their settees! 🙂
Now there’s a thought! I might just have to do that!
🙂
Congratulations, what terrific news 🙂
Thank you very much indeed 🙂
pleasure – i really enjoy poetry, but don’t seem to be able to get in touch with my poetic bone , so i really admire people who can 🙂
Keep trying – once you find your way in then you’ve cracked it!!!
I keep a notebook with me at all times and jot down observations and ideas – my poems grow from there!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!
Thank you very much indeed 😀
Hello Alex,
I had to come by and congratulate you again. May there be many more! 🙂
Aw thank you very much!!
I hope there are more too!
Who knows… one day I may inflict a book on the world!! 😀
