It’s a not going right day,
my alarm did not sound,
so I’m late and I’m cross,
and I’m rushing around.
It’s a not going right day,
I quickly undress,
the shower’s luke warm,
now I’m cold and I’m stressed!
It’s a not going right day,
I’ve run for the bus,
the driver didn’t see me,
he’s pulled off in a rush.
It’s a not going right day,
the rain lashes down,
(I’ve forgotten my brolly,)
as I walk into town.
It’s a not going right day,
I won’t be on time.
I look at my watch,
it’s one minute to nine.
‘It’s a not going right day!’
the receptionist shouts.
I look down and I cringe,
my top’s inside out!
It’s a not going right day,
I’ve forgotten my phone.
Each job is a nightmare,
and I long to go home.
It’s a not going right day,
but not for long…
as I see a bright rainbow,
and birds burst into song.

Loved it 🙂
Thank you 🙂 Hope you are having a going right day!!
Some days are sooooo bad that we need to write about it 🙂 I’ve had a few of those days you describe, wish I’d written about them like you did. Loved it!
Haha thank you – the trick is not to let the not going right bits colour the whole day!
It was a tricky verse – even uploading it I had trouble formatting the spacing. It became a not going right poem for a while! 🙂
We’ve all had one of those. Lovely poem and beautiful picture.
Thank you 🙂
Can’t claim much credit for the picture, it was the widgetty wizardry thingy that found it. (I’m not very good at technical names!!)
Thank you for taking the time to read and comment 🙂
When it rains…:) Fun poem!:)
