Plumping pillows

Inviting sleep so

Lay down your head

Let dreams dance

Over your soul

Waltzing with the angels ‘til

Sunrise wakes slumber

Oh tortuous night

how thou hast

defeated me.

Whilst Angels sleep

against a weeping moon

of sleeps flirtations.

Does thou bring soon

comfort and release

from dark hells hounds

with murderous intent.

Oh tortuous night

now thou hast

defeated me.

we go to hell –

she cries.

That’s not true,

we learn to fly –

he says.

I think we stay,

reborn –

to live another day.

That can’t be!

We’re dead and gone,

for all eternity.

Some hymn sings,

we get our angel wings;

But I don’t care,

all I know, is

you’re not

here.
