Take a cup of envy,
and mix it with some greed,
season it with hatred,
then add some, woe is me!
Plus one spoon of ego,
marinade in pity,
righteous indignation,
will make the mixture pretty.
Make a quick snap judgement,
blend it with assumption,
now, Prapancha Soup,
is ready for consumption!

Great! I can’t say I’ve ever had this soup. Is it good?
Prapancha is a Sanskrit word – it means the stories we make up about situations. The picture of the soup is beetroot soup which is delicious – though I’m not sure about the boiled eggs – ugh!!
Oh, I didn’t know what “Prapancha” meant. I see your poem in a whole new light. Thanks for the insight. I, too, think the eggs are questionable. I only like them scrambled. 🙂
I’m allergic to eggs – the smell of them makes me want to run a mile… unless they are chocolate eggs and that is a whole other story!! 🙂
Readily available ingredients, sadly!

Excellent ~ I didn’t know the word Prapancha either ~ cool poem Alex
Thank you! I tried to find a link for the definition – but I couldn’t find an appropriate on – they all involved reading reams of irrelevant stuff!
🙂
very clever and wise 🙂
😀
Thank you 😀
You rancha with prapancha! Excellent, Alexandra
Haha thank you 😀
I have not stopped by for awhile, remiss of me, I apologize. I really enjoyed this one. Very clever and wise and fun, Penny

Always welcome 🙂
Your recipe is well written. However I prefer not to partake of this mean. Why not try mine. http://wp.me/p28tjX-5t
Beautifully written!
I prefer to come to your feast any day!
😀
xx
Looks palatable. Kinda. But, the poem? Delish!
🙂
I wouldn’t recommend too much of the recipe! But… beetroot and apple soup is actually delish despite the very bold colour!!
Reblogged this on Worldly Winds.
This poem got me thinking – and I hope I never use the ingredients for this soup! Great poem.
Haha yes I agree – unfortunately I think we all end up with prapancha soup now and again!
That’s not my cup of soup, Alex 🙂 Your poem is excellent though, super delight!
Thank you Francina – I agree! I much prefer a good old fashioned lentil soup!
