Rainbow transience
ephemera of the mind,
love intransigent
no respect of time.
Shimmering splendour
the summer of our life.
Majestic magnificence,
cutting with a knife.
What tantalising trickery
deceiver of our sight,
fleeting, sneering, mockery,
obsessional opulent light.
Delightful and delusional,
experienced by all.
Impermanent illusion,
to trip and then to fall
Cloud burst emotions
pour down like summer rain.
Refractive reflections,
the eternal lovers’ pain.

Love this! If it works, I’ll post the link to this on my page along with an abstract I did a few years ago that fits in with it. Sometimes my abstracts are too big and won’t load on here. Thank you for your beautiful poetry! Love it!
