It’s been ten years long,
since you passed away,
and then you decided,
you’d come to stay.
I was shocked,
when I saw you;
you know,
I adore you.
You never announced,
you’d arrive today,
you bounced straight in,
in your usual way,
announced to me,
you’d come to stay,
gave me a start,
unpacked your bags
and moved into my heart.

Oooh…somewhat spooky…many seem to think they’re slowly becoming their mothers – I’m enjoying your NaPoWriMo 🙂
Thanks Polly. It’s a challenge this year as I’m on my jollies. I don’t feel these are my best, but all things considered with distractions of seaside, activities, great food and day trips, I’m happy I’ve managed to post at all!!!! 🙂
Beautiful & so moving!
Thank you very much ❤

For my mum, 14 years gone.
My mom is not ‘gone,’ but she’s deep in dementia. Yet, sometimes she ‘visits’ me just like this. xo
Sending lots of love, that is a difficult place to be for both of you xxx
❤
My mother went to heaven several years ago, but I still see her in my dreams. The most beautiful, kind, intelligent, well-educated, aristocratic lady I have ever known….
Thank you or your wonderful poem!
We have a special bond with our mother that goes beyond space and time. ❤
