and she sits waiting
watching the world
and she sits waiting
nobody’s girl
passers-by pass her by
crying inside
and she sits waiting
unnoticed
onlookers look on
dying inside
and she sits waiting
overlooked
Sight seers don’t see her
as she looks over
and she sits waiting
unseen
and she sits waiting
watching the world
and she sits waiting
nobody’s girl

That was wonderful. It had a great rhythm to it even though it was melancholy.
Thank you Richard 🙂
You’re welcome
🙂
Awwww sad……..but well written~
Thank you Cindy 🙂
Honestly, I could see that her being strong, by way of, not being tied down to nothing or nobody. Some people are loners. My opinion. Loved it.
That’s very true – but here, she was let down 🙂
That’s why I love poetry, it’s versatile. 😉
It is indeed – I love your interpretation as I’d not considered it like that before! 🙂
A playful yet sad poem. Someone who is nobody. Creative.
Thank you. I guess we can all feel like this at times 🙂
