Winding grey path
municipal park,
misty rain mizzle
and clouds so dark.
People rush –
a random dog barks,
children still play,
oh what larks!
Raindrops thicken
to leave their mark,
but oh the sun!
invites the arc,
such April showers,
in a municipal park.

‘…oh the sun! / invites the arc’ … lovely
That was a bit of artistic licence – definitely no arc – just rain!
🙂
… artistic licence … well, you’re allowed, you are a poet 🙂
Aw thank you – having a day of self doubt today and not feeling like a poet at all!! Your comment has really cheered me up 🙂
Thank you ❤
Reading your lovely book at the mo and will be posting a review soon ~ now, don’t hold your breath cos it could take me a while ~ but I’ll get there for sure 🙂
Aw thanks Polly – You’re a star 🙂
you paint quite a picture here
Thank you (I was wearing my rose tinted spectacles on this walk)
🙂
Nothing like a rose tinted April shower! 🙂
Oh yes indeed – especially after such a long winter!!!
I agree! 😉
Here too, we have rainy days 🙂
Fingers crossed for those sunny days!
Sounds just like the kind of day we are having here too.
Wow seems like everyone is having a rainy day!
