No money can her beauty buy,
enchanting all she touches,
virgin white and transient,
the hoar frost kiss the bushes.
Spider’s webs of crystal tears,
furry leaves of velvet feathers,
stalagmite grass revering skies,
leidenfrost cloaks of weather.

Nice verses.
Thank you – inspired by the blanket of snow we are under at the moment 🙂
Oh send some of that snow to NY. They keep saying we’ll get some but it never makes it here. We have snow once last year and that was a day or two before Halloween and nothing more. Maybe a flurry but nothing that stuck. 😦
Oh I am happy to share it with you – in this country the first flutter of snow and everyone starts panic buying food and petrol and all the transport systems gridlock! Luckily I was cancelled today, so I’ve been at home admiring it through the window 😀
Good for you. The same here. All the milk and bread gone from the shelves. But the clean up is usually quick. The roads are open and people clean the walk ways or they get tickets.
Ah not here, we aren’t allowed to clear the walkways – if you do and someone slips they can sue. It’s mad!! Several years ago the councils sold off most of the snow plows to recoup money and they can’t afford to keep salt and grit stocked – when the bad weather comes, the country really does grind to a halt for a few days or weeks!!
Lovely lines and winter images!
Thank you very much – it is very cold and wintery at the moment, so it seemed an apt poem 🙂
