I cherish your words

like children,

I watch them grow

within my heart;

some may heal,

and some bring joy,

whilst others may,

tear us apart.

Each one of them,

brings joy and pain,

with each a gift,

in equal measure.

I hold your words,

the nettle grasped,

may sting my soul,

but each I treasure.
