I look in the mirror,
and what do I see?
A face staring back,
that’s simply not me.
I open my heart,
and what do I find?
A limitless space,
compassionate and kind.
I open my mouth,
and what tumbles out?
Harmonious words,
with truth and no doubt.
I search in my head,
what goes on in there?
A radiant mind,
pure, like clear mountain air.

Wow.. just so amazing expression,, soooooooo frrrrrrrresh!! 🙂
Thank you very much indeed – I’m glad you liked it! 🙂
I love this…and it certainly describes you! Have been wondering where you’ve been. I’ve noticed your absence, even though I haven’t been around much over the last week. Hope all is well…if this poem is any indication, it is. 🙂
Hehe thank you so much Anne. I’ve been on a two week retreat. I returned yesterday with oodles of tranquility and several dozen new poems!! I’m just posting some related Buddhist poems I wrote whilst there. I promised my friends I would post them soon 🙂
Cool! I’ve never been on a retreat for that long. I went on a weekend Christian retreat once up in Maryland, years ago, and that did wonders just for those few days. I’ll look forward to reading those poems! 🙂
Aw thank you Anne – I can definitely recommend going on a long retreat – getting some space and being with like minded people is re-juvenating 🙂
Wonderful Poem and beautiful shot!
I can only take credit for the poem! 😀
Thank you 🙂

Oh … I wish – it is more of an ‘if only’ poem! 🙂
