Sunshine Award

I am humbled to have been nominated for The Sunshine Award from

Arjuna http://thewondrousdharma.com/

It is given to “bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere.” Thank you so much to Arjuna.

The steps to take, preferably with joy

2. Answer these 10 questions, below, for fun if you want to.
3. Nominate 10 to 12 blogs you enjoy. Or you pick the number.
4. Pay the love forward: Provide your nominee’s link in your post and comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been included and invited to participate.
5. Pay the love back with gratitude and a link to the blogger(s) who nominated you.

The Nominees . I encourage you to visit and discover on your own how they deserve The Sunshine Award because they all positively and creatively inspire. Also some (or all) of these writers may choose to not participate in this award process but I still want this chance to help you, dear reader, to find these blogs and perhaps be inspired by what they contain, if you haven’t found them already.

It changes with each day! I love purples, blues, greens, reds, but they are all a specific shade not just any old purple, blue, green or red!

What is your favorite animal? Dogs and horses, but I love all animals. I also love bird watching – currently we have a nest of sparrows just under our guttering and you can see the baby birds poking out their beaks shouting for food! How cute!!
What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink?
Barley cup, red bush tea or rose lemonade.

Do you prefer Facebook or Twitter?
Facebook

What’s your passion?
Writing

What’s your favorite pattern?
Oh okay… erm never thought of this before – probably floral – erm not really sure!!!

Do you prefer giving or getting presents?
Giving

What’s your favorite number?
8

Favorite day of the week?
Friday evening – especially if I know I have the full weekend ahead to write!

Favorite flower?
Pfft…. How long have you got….

I love the smell of lilies. I love Lily of the valley because it was my grandma’s favourite. I love daffodils because they remind me of my Mum. I love snowdrops because my Mum lovingly sewed about a zillion onto a dress for me, for a fancy dress competition at school (I didn’t win). I love freesias because they are the first flower I ever fell in love with the scent. I love peonies – deep red – because they remind me of my Dad. So – any of those!

Thank you Arjuna http://thewondrousdharma.com/ for nominating me.

A big thank you to all the writers, poets and artists out there, keep blogging!

The Versatile Blogger
Yesterday, Paul the author of the ‘Living in Awareness’ blog, nominated me for The Most Versatile Blogger Award.

I was extremely excited and very surprised as I have not been blogging that long! Receiving the VBA is not only humbling it is also a positive affirmation as I sometimes feel blogging is a bit like being a X Factor contestant; whilst I might think my writing is okay, others might be secretly cringing

Many thanks Paul, this has really made me do a happy dance. Please do check out ‘Resting in Awareness’, it is a beautiful gentle blog with lots of practical information.

  1. Thank you so much for nominating me! Question, the rules state that the nominees must have less than 200 followers, how do I determine how many followers a blog has?

    • Ah yes – I had a similar worry. Sometimes on the right hand side it says follow by email and join xxxx followers.

The way I did it was to scan through the blog and if they generally had under 75 to 90 likes on most blogs then I made the assumption that they had under 200.

I don’t think it is a strict rule – you can only give it your best guess :)

  2. Not an Award but a compliment. I enjoyed your blog during the year of 2012. Please follow the link to accept the honor. http://wp.me/p28tjX-A3

  3. Hi Will you share a cup of coffee with me? http://wp.me/p28tjX-De

  4. I enjoy your blog and nominated you for an award. I hope you accept. Please follow link to find the award. http://wp.me/p28tjX-Jy

  5. I have nominated you for the Very inspiring Blogger Award: http://drawingroomdays.wordpress.com/2013/04/18/blog-awards/ xx

    Have a wonderful day.

  7. Guess what? You’ve been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award! You do not have to accept the award. Simply know that I think you deserve it because of your blog’s content and hope I made you smile. :D If you do choose to accept the award, follow the rules found here–> The Versatile Blogger Award | White Rabbit’s Gallery.
