I never was classed, ‘pretty’,
I was never deemed, ‘a babe’,
I chose instead to use my wit,
and walk the poet’s way.
My years of youth are over,
my life is halfway done,
philosophies from Yoda,
A wise old bird I am.

Mad half hour over…

Great poem and I love the ‘bird’. I have one just like it (different colour) given to me by a very dear friend
Thank you – it must be a friend thing… this bird was given to me by my friend. We have a contest to see who can find the weirdest birthday presents!!
That must be fun
Much better than boxes of hankiesor chocolates!
Hehe very true

(I never ‘dare’ to post silly poems..)
Thank you! It was a birthday present from a friend!!
Oh don’t be put off posting silly poems – it’s like a mad half hour when the dog chases its own tail

(I never ‘dare’ to post silly poems..)
Enjoyed the silliness, and the pointedness of this poem. Reminds me of my English side of the family on my mothers side, what a sense of humor- They’re known for laughing at nearly everything, and taking nearly nothing seriously!
Ah – yes – caught red-handed – that sounds rather like me )) sheepish grin((
